Financial review
The CIO operates from a sound financial base. At the year end. free reserves held by the Charity amounted lo

It is the policy of the charity that unfestricted fu￿lS which have not been designated for a specific use should be
maintained at a level to meet annual provision of meals and services for the foreseeable fiJture. The trustees
consider that reserves at this level wll ensure that. in the event of a significant drop in funding, they wll be able to
continue the charty's Cur￿nt activities while consideration is gtven to ways in which addtional funds may be raised.
This level of reserve5 has been maintained throughout the year.
Principal fvnding sources

the Service's charitable activities.
Ri$k review
The Trustees have examined the major strategic business and operational risks which the charity faces and confimi
that systèms have been established to enable regular reports to be made so that necessary steps can be taken to
lessen these risks.
The 5perific risks identiffied are..
- a downtum in the UK economy which would make rt harrler to raise lun¢Js.

- breakdown of the Charivs freezer equipmenl

Auditor's responsibilltlÈs for the audit of the financial statements
We have been appDinted as auditor under sac11(￿ 144 of the Chartties Act 2011 and rep)rt in accordance with the
Act and relevant regulations made or having effect thereunder.
Our objects.ves are lo obtain reasonable assuraft￿ about whethei the financial 51alemenls as a whole are free from
matèrial misslalemenl, whether due to fraud or error, and lo issue an auditorfs report that indudes our opinion.
Reasonable assurance is a high level of assurance but is not a guarantee that an audit conducted in accordance

Irregularilie5, induding fraud. are instances of non-complian￿ with laws and regulations. Vve design procedures in
line with our responsibilib"es., outlined above. to delect material misstatements in iespecl of irregularib'es, including
fraud. The extent lo which our procedLtres are capable of (Eeleciing irregularities, induding fraud, is detailed below.
Our approach to identifying and assessing the rÈsks of matwial misstaiement in respect of irregukrilies, including
fraud and non-eompliance wth laws and regulations, was 8$ fdlows..
Review of the financial statement di5dosures trj underlying supporting doujmentab'on..
Enquiries ol management so far as they related to the financjal statements. and seeking represenlaions
from thosè Charged wth governance.
Testing of joumals and evaluating whether there was ewdence of bias by the Irustees that represented a
risk ot material misststemenl due to fraud.
Rewew of legal and professional expenses and trnstee meeting minutes..
We performed analytical procedures to identify any unusual or unexpected relationships.
Because of the inherent limitations ol an audrt. Iheie is a risk that we wll not detect all Irregularities. including those
leading to a material misstatement in the financial statements or nor￿cOmplIance with regulab'on. This r￿sk
increases the more that Complian￿ with a law or regulab.on is removed from the events and transactions ieflecled
in the financigl slalements, as we will be less likely to become aware of instances of n0￿COMplI8n¢e. The risk is
also greater regarding irregularibes occurring due lo fraud rathe¥ than error, as fraud involves Intentional
concealment. forgery. collusion, omission or misrepfesèntalion.
