Trustees' Report - Nepali Samaj Nottingham, East Midlands Period: 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2023

The Trustees of Nepali Samaj Nottingham, East Midlands, are pleased to present the annual report detailing the charitable activities conducted by the organisation between 1st April 2022 and 31st March 2023.

1. Nepali New Year's Event - 10th April 2022:

On 10th April 2022, Nepali Samaj Nottingham organised a vibrant event to celebrate Nepali New Year. The objective was to preserve and promote Nepalese culture and traditions in the UK. The event successfully brought together members and the wider nepalese community in nottingham and Midlands, fostering a sense of cultural unity and understanding.

2. Cultural Programme - 23 May 2022:

A cultural program with nepalese music and daces was organised on 23rd May 2022. Two well known artists from Nepal were invited on this occasion to promote and preserve the Nepalese Traditional music and Dance in the UK. Wider nepalese community members from Nottingham were attended.

3. Summer Outing Programme - 8th August 2022:

A summer outing programme was organised on 8th August 2022, where members of Nepali Samaj Nottingham collectively visited the beach. The event aimed to promote social unity and stress-free living among the members, encouraging a sense of community and camaraderie.

4. Midlands Volleyball Competition - 9th August 2022:

On 9th August 2022, Nepali Samaj Nottingham organised a Midlands-wide Volleyball competition to encourage youth involvement in sports activities. Various Nepalese Volleyball clubs from the Midlands participated, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition among the younger members.

5. Women's Festival 'Teej' Programme - 30th August 2022:

On 30th August 2022, Nepali Samaj Nottingham organised a 'Teej' programme, a Hindu religious event dedicated to women. All the ladies of the Nepali Samaj actively participated and enjoyed the festival, promoting cultural awareness and celebrating the significance of women in our community.

6. Dashain and Tihaar Event - 26th September 2022:

On 26th September 2022, Nepali Samaj Nottingham organised the Dashain and Tihaar event, featuring Hindu religious and Nepalese cultural programs.
