REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES The Trustees present their report for the year ended 30th. June 2025. The trustees are ￿SponsIble for acting in accordanc¢ with current legislation and re￿rt the charity's financial statements accordingly. Deed of Trust The standard Lions Club Constitulion was adopted by Radstock & Midsomer Norton Lions Club ICIO) and registered with the Charity Commission for England & Wales on 21" January The object of the C.l.O. is to rais¢ funds and to invite and receiv¢ contributions aLd to apply its income for any purpose which is charitable according to the law of England and Wales whether for the benefit of any individual or group of people or any other organisation established for charitable purposes. It draws its support from the towns of Radsto¢k and Midsomer Norton. and their gurrounding areas, and from the income generated by the Lions. 50 Club. Most of the income is distributed within the local area, sometimes through other registered charitable orgauisations. with requests from the U.L Multiple District of Lions Clubs, and Lions Clubs Jntemational also being eonsidered. Each request is assessed on its own merits before commitment. A full list of b¢n¢ficiaries is included within the accounts. Trustees I'hc number of trustees was reduced to five following the resignation of Margaret Burdon. The tNstee8 are responsible for keeping proper accountlng records that disclose. with reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the charity. Review of Activities & Use of Funds The major fund raising events for the club reinain as the Father Christm&8 c.ollection and the Easter Egg raffles. A Prostate Screening event was held in October 2024 resulting in 239 men being tested with IO"Red" and 14"Ambcr" referrals. The bulk of the ¢harity's funds are available for immediate dislrkbulion.
