Trustees have had regard to the guidan￿ issued by the Charity Commission on
public benefit in relation lo all adivities which the dub have taken part in during
the year in question.
(11 Santa assisted at several communty-based events over the Christmas
ri(xl. A sleigh belonging lo Ihe chanty completed street tours with
Santa and his vdunteers raising around £1.OCK) in donations.

(3) Newquay Beer Festival was fun for the ninth occasion in September
2024 and raised over £11.000 after exwnses. all of which was lodged in
the dub's community or chanty accounts and is ￿Ing used to assist
Lions Internat￿nal Foundalion and I￿al gC￿ causes
{4) The Brains of Newquay Quiz enabled the club to donate £2.000 of the

(S) The Communty Christmas Lunch in December 2024 had an attendance
of over 100 rr￿rnberS of the communty who were atAe lo enjoy the food,

Achievements and performance
Summary oftho main
achlevements of the charity
during the year
During the course of the year membership of the club started at 31 and
ended at 38 volunteers. The main aclivities are shown at Section C
above. The main achievements were maintaining Ihe high profile of the
dub within the local community and organising events vthich both served
Ihe cL)mmunity and raised funds for good causes. The Beer Festival
ntinues to be a significant su￿sS and the ￿mmunity lunch also
provided support and friendship for members of the community who
might not otherwise have the opportunity to. Requests for grants were
able to be met from funds raised where it was agreed to offer assistan
and the club administration fijnd (not collected from the public - only
intemall remained in g(KKI standing.

Brief statement of the
charity's policy on resorves
The charity runs a community. charity and savings account as well as an
administrative account. The administrative accounl holds funds which
have been collected by subscriptions from members, services of club
members that have been paid for, and intemal fund raising plus any
donations that have tEen made wth the intention of supporting the costs
of running the dub. The Charity account contains funds which have
already been agreed to be donated but not yet paid out. The community
account is the collection account for fijnds raised from the public and the
savings account holds moneys set aside as reserves for specrfic pump-

The charity nomially holds several 'signature' events each year in
support of the public goLxJ by either raising funds for good causes or
providing services for members of the public. These events are: Giant
Easter Egg Raffle. Newquay Beer Festival. Brains of Newquay Quiz,
Community Christmas Lunch. In addition the group undertake public
collections by way of raffle, street and supemiarket colleclions and
sponsorship from local businesses and individuals.

basis of report
As the charily's trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 1.the
Acl.).
I report in respect of my examinalion of the Trust's accounts carried out
under sedion 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have
followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under
section 14515){b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matertal matters have
come to my attenlion in connection with Ihe examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect..
the accounling records were not kept in accordance with section 130
of the Charities Act, or

the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements
conceming the fom and content of accounts sel out in the Charities
