This is the annual report of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation named “Trinity Baptist Church Gorton”, charity number 1187446, for the year ending 31[st] March 2023. 

The charity’s main office is Trinity Baptist Church, Wellington Street, Gorton, Manchester, M18 8BE 

## **Report of Activity:** 

Trinity Baptist Church Gorton CIO registered as a charity on 20[th] January 2020. The charity was founded and registered to receive the charitable activities and assets of the Baptist Church known as Trinity Baptist Church Gorton, which currently operates as an unincorporated charity with excepted status. 

The trustees of the current church are seeking to transfer the assets, activities and liabilities of the current church to the new CIO and then to wind up the current church as a legal entity. 

In the year ending 31[st] March 2023 there was no activity to report. The trustees have engaged the services of solicitor but obstructions pertaining to legal matters prevented the furtherance of transfer of assets from the present church structures to the new CIO. In particular the holding trustees of the unincorporated charity have required that we adjust our constitution to transfer our holding trustees to our national trustee body, and this has entailed legal complexities that are beyond our control. We have been advised that this should be completed before we are able to compete the transfer of the assets of the unincorporated charity to the CIO. 

## **Financial Activity** 

In the relevant year, the CIO had zero financial activity. There was zero income or spending and the charity has zero assets.
