Wellington and Dummer Rldlng for the Dlsabled Group is an independent charity operating underthe umbrella, and wlth the support of RDA National Office. National Office provides no routine financial support. Slgnlficant Actlvttles The artivities that contribute to the Charitrfs aims are carried out at two locations: Paddock Lod8e Farlel8h Lane Dummer Basingstoke Hampshire RG25 2AF and Wellington Riding Heckfield Hook Hampshlre RG27 OU and provlde the means for people to ride at the level of their ability, tholce and ambition. Thls Group does not provide carriage driving lessons. Paddock Lodge Is the home and property of one of the Group's Trusteelcoaches and the riding facllities are provided rent free to the Group. Wellington Riding is a commercial stables and riding school whlch provided stabling for one of the group's ponies on a working livery basis and indoor riding facilities for Group activities on payment of a small fee. Publlc Beneffts A total of 35 riders have been supported during the year 2023-2024, this is a decrease of 2 compared with the year 2022-2023. There remains a strongdemand for places for riders and In order to increase availability. Saturday lessons at Dummer continue to be fortni8htly to allow two groups of rider5 to altemate. Page 2

Welli on and Dummer Rldln For The Disabled A$￿cIation Inco rati Carria e Drivin Re rt of the Trustees for the Year Ended 31 March 2024 Wellington & Dummer RDA Group supports riders with a wide range physical and intellectual disabilities including conditions such as autism. global learning delay, cerebral palsy, Ehlers- Danlos Syndrome, ADHD, Down Syndrome, partially sighted, transplant, Spina Bifida, Frasers Syndrome. Nemaline Myopathy, dyslexia, spastic paraparesis. myotonic dystrophy. The group continues to support Hippotherapy sessions at Dummer. Hippotherapy is a form of physical therapy which uses the natural gait and movement of a horse to provide motor and sensory input. Hippotherapy can help with strengthening and stretching muscles and with balance. Three riders have benefitted from this artivity this year. At the end of the reporting year the Group owns five ponies. Role and Contrlbutlon of Volunteers Welllngton & Dummer RDA Group has no paid staff and is totally dependent on 6 volunteer coaches and an additional 27 active volunteers, this is a decrease of 14 active volunteers compared with the year 2022-2023. During the reporting period the followin8 long service milestones were reached by volunteers I x IS years volunteering I x 10 years volunteering Charltable Actlvltles All our activities are undertaken to further our charltable purposes, as Set out in our charitable objectlves and aims. Key Actlvltles Durlng this year a full pro8ramme of Regional and National Championships were held with participation by the Group in both. At the Regional Champlonships there were 5 entrles In dressa8e13x I Ix 2. and Ix 5th), 1 in showjumping11 ). l in Arts and Crafts11 l. In total 4 qualified for the National Championship5. At the National Championshipsthere were 3 entries in dressage Ilx 3rd place), I In showjumping13rd place) and I In Arts and Crafts16th place). 3 riders were unable to compete as the Sunday pro8ramme was cancelled due to extreme heat. End of Term parties were held in July and December which included the presentation of rider achievement certificates and volunteer long service certificates. Page 3

A Training Day for volunteers was held before the start of the September term. On 2nd June 2023. one of the 8roup's ponies, Domino, was put to sleep by the veterinary surgeon. Sadly, he had issues with his legs that couldn't be managed to help him feel comfortable. Domino had helped countless people to learn to ride over the eleven years he was with the group. FINANaAL REVIEW The Income and Expenditure for the Period is attached at Annex A to this report. There has been a cash surplu5 of £4048.20 and an asset deficit of £741XI.(hJ. The reduction in asset values has been caused by another pony now bein8 assessed as unsaleable Idue to age. physical condition andlor temperament) and depreciation of other group assets. The Statement of Assets13113120241 is attached at Annex B to this report. The Wellin8ton & Dummer RDA Group does not receive any grants or donations from Central or Local Government nor does It recelve any re8ular contributions from RDA Headquarters. Riders are not char8ed for their lessons at Dummer. and althou8h donations are requested, they are not compulsory. as the trustees wish the facilities to be available to all. Wellington Ridlng make a small charge for lessons carried out at their facility and these harges are passed on to the riders involved. The Group is funded primarily by rider and other donations and by other fundraisin8. One of the Group's ponies, Dude, is on loan at Sparsholt College Equine Centre. Page 4

Recrultment and appolntment of new trustees As set out in the constitution, the Initial trustees were appointed by the AGM. As detailed in Clause 15151 of the constitution,"the trustees may at anytime decide to appoint a new charity trustee" Durin8 this reporting period no trustees were appointed or resigned. Wlder Nelwork The Group maintains close contact with RDA Headquarters and with local RDA Groups to ensure training and certification is kept at a hi8h level and that best practice is followed in all operational areas. Safe8uardlng The Group has a Safe8uardln8 Officer, a Safeguarding Policy and all coaches hold Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service {DBS) certificates. All other volunteers either hold Enhanced DBS certificates or are in the process of applying for certificates. In line with the current DBS process, all DBS certificate holder subscribe to the online update service which ensures that all clearances are automatically kept up to date.
