In common with the rest of the country the e¥ideThi cost of living crises affected rural people and communities In a wide
number ol ways. RCC endeavoured 10 deliver praciical help and advice.. as well as friendship and support lor Ihose rural folk
3ffected.
Ouringthis period, we made 556 village visit5 acr055 the county and had 3 throughput to these vi51ts of 9,341 people.
s in previDU5 years these vi5it5 were all in response to an invitation from the parish council, chLJrch, or other village group,
a5 a means of providin£ a forum to get people together. We increased the breadth of our delivery capability Ildentifyin£
~Hidden Carers" Blue Badg& access and Pension Credit applicètionsl and were able to offer a way for an incrèased number
of re5ident5 to acce55 local and county wide support information. Thi5 nece551t3ted the development of an RCC Outreach
model whereby we provide one-10.one time. by appointment. help 10 Individuals to compleie èpplicaiion forms for benefirs
to which they are entitled. In 2024 we identified 181 ￿oPle entitled to a carer5 allowance and helped them obtain the
benefits they needed.

In Nov 2024 after a routine inspection, we were devastated to told that our (aravan wa5 suffering damp 50 badly that it
could noi be regarded as fit for purpose. The caravan, which was due io go inio siorage for the winter. w8s SO￿ for parts.

Throughout 2024 we tontinued to provide feelings of connection as we triedto enable people to have incre3sed confidence
and generally improved emotional. menial. and physical wellbeing. In theyear we gave out 54 slow cookers and changed 124

well as improving control of bLJdgeting fund management during the year. This included the recruitment of a
yjri-time Xero experienced Finance Officer. Louisa Thorp. This land the board appoinimentl greatly srrengihened

on the Martineau Estate, these providetwo offices, kitchen and toilet, outside space parking. Fully opeTrtionèl

converted shipping container nearby as Storage for RCC equipment.

Throughout the year we continued ro work with our Meeiupmondays network and had 57 venue5 throughout the year with
a conservative estimated throughput of circa 25,(rt)D people.
We continued to have high levels of èctivity to ensure our sotial medi3 presence was effective using Facebook, Inst8gr3m,
and community pages Iwe removed ourselves from X as we no lon8er consider li an appropriate platform for our charity).
However. we have Increased our engagement Wilh Linkedin which is proving eflective in raising awareness of RCC across a
wider spectrum.
The year provided no indi(ation that obtaining funds would not remain extremely competitive. A5 in previous years we
mainiained high levelsof engagemenrwith funders. Wecontinued 10 be supported by The National LotteryCommJniiy Fund.

Our plans for 2025 revolve around ensurinE the continuing delivery of our practical services and our support and advice on
