## **REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDING 30 APRIL 2022** The Trustees of Law For ALL UK Chapter Charity present their annual report and audited accounts for the year ended 30 April 2022 and confirm they comply with the requirements of the applicable laws. ## **OUR AIMS** The objects of our charity are the advancement of education in the law in Tunisia in particular by: - collecting, acquiring and distributing legal textbooks to law school libraries in Tunisia; and - the provision of classes, lectures, seminars and training courses for students, professionals and the general public in Tunisia ## **REVIEW OF ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS** This year our funding came from individuals members of the Tunisian diaspora living in Western Europe. During this year and for the second year in a row, Law for All delivered more than 4000 legal casebooks and treatises to law school libraries in Gabès, Jendouba and Kairoua and thus benefitting more than 1500 students. However, our activities were again disrupted in July 2021 this time by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic which hit Tunisia with a great magnitude causing thousands of deaths in 6 weeks. Similarly to many charities based in the UK that faced the impossibility to carry on their charitable purposes because of the pandemic, we exceptionaly allocated resources to help mitigate the covid crisis either via food or medical equipement donations, or financial support. We again directly helped more than 500 families in the Gabès, Sfax, and Nabeul regions and indirectly many more through our partner the Rotary Club of Sfax. For the second year in a row, we partnered with them. As a reminder the Rotary Club is an international organization headquartered in the US conducting charitable actions across the world via local clubs made of community leaders. Partnering with them gave us comfort in terms of effectiveness, experience, integrity and ethical conduct in the execution of our goal. This exceptional covid-19 relief effort represented almost 60% of our funding. We aim to resume our normal activities going forward. More information on our various activities can be found on our website (lawforall.fr) or our Facebook page (@Law for All-Droit pour tous-القانون للجميع) ## **FINANCIAL HEALTH** The Trustees regularly review the finances, budgets and spend against budget together with a monthly cash flow analysis as part of the effective stewardship of the Charity.
