## POSITIVE ## `CHANGE` ``` Fun Club Hub inspire young people to reach their potential and contribute to their communities. Promoting positive change in young people and support their transition to adulthood in three key ways: ``` "Fun Club Hub inspire young people to reach their potential and contribute to their communities". ## _**`• Improving young people’s health and wellbeing`**_ - _**`Preparing young people for education and work`**_ ## _**`• Involving young people in positive c`**_ ~~_**`o`**_~~ _**`mmunity engagement`**_ ``` Fun Club Hub work in partnership with organisations offering a universal service to young people in Lichfield District, who access provision on a voluntary basis. These services are available to young people aged between 8- 19 years, with the target age range being 13- 17. Where issues are beginning to emerge, we can offer tailor made project work or one to one support. ``` ``` Fun Club Hub was founded by Liz Bacon & Kerry McCabe Crowley in 2014 .As demand grew so did their team of experienced JNC qualified DBS checked Youth & Community Workers. Plus a team of 15 Young Volunteers . ``` ``` The Youth charity is award winning winning the Queens Award in 2021 for With over 30 years experience and mandatory training in this field, they have worked in various locations, school setting across the country ``` A ``` F U N C L U B H U B C I O ``` ``` P a g e 0 0 ``` ## Young `LEADERS` ``` The Young Leaders programme is our leadership programme for young people aged 13 and over. Young Leaders volunteer in at least one Fun Club session each week and attend monthly training meetings. Thanks to the National Lottery funding we were able to attended two residentials this year with the group, who have now completed their Level 1 in Youth work training and First Aid. ``` ``` The Young leaders are a real asset to the Fun Club Hub, we would not be able to provide such a variety of activities to young people if they didn’t take up theses roles. They also provide an important bridge between between our youth workers who attend the session. ``` 'Still being engaged with fun club meant that I still felt involved with the club and a part of the team, this was further extended when I applied and became their new apprentice with the help of Liz and Kerry." ## Statement ``` Phil Pusey Chief Executive Offcer for SCVYS ``` ``` "Fun Club are always quick to engage with anything SCVYS offers whether for young people or their team. Recently this has included the Staffordshire Co- production logo competition, which was won by one of their participants, as well as the engagement exercise for young people to influence the development of the Council's communities strategy. ``` ``` They are also proactive in accessing available training including food safety, Emergency First Aid, young leaders, introduction to youth work and most recently accessing national bursaries for Level 2 and 3 Youth Work qualifications for several team members. ``` ``` They also access materials produced by our PSHE Education Service which are useful for both formal and informal education settings, and cover a vast array of subjects which impact on young people daily across Lichfield and Tamworth. Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of Fun Club Hub CIO I report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 1[st] February 2024. ## **Responsibilities and basis of report** As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. ## **Independent examiner's statement** I have completed my examination, I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1.
