AT PRESENT<br>THERE ARE 59 MEMBERS OF THE<br>CHURCH, AND WE HAVE 2-5 VISITORS<br>EVERY SUNDAY. EUCHARISTIC<br>WORSHIP IS AT THE CENTRE OF OUR<br>CHURCH LIFE. MASS IS CELEBRATED<br>ON SUNDAY EVERY OTHER WEEK. THE<br>CHILDREN AND YOUNGER MEMBERS<br>OF THE CHURCH TAKE AN ACTIVE<br>PART IN KIDS MINISTRY AS SINGERS<br>AND READERS, PARTICIPATING AT<br>GAMES AND CRAFT ACTIVITIES. FOR A<br>CHURCH, AND FOR LOCAL FAMILIES<br>AND THEIR NEIGHBOURS, OCCASIONS<br>SUCH AS WEDDINGS AND BAPTISMS<br>ARE SIGNIFICANT AT SEVERAL<br>LEVELS, BOTH AS SPECIAL EVENTS OF<br>THE CHURCH AND ALSO AS<br>AFFIRMATIONS OF FAMILY LIFE AND<br>RELATIONSHIPS. WE HAD A BAPTISM<br>SERVICE OF 5 PERSONS IN June 2024.<br>VARIOUS CHURCH ACTIVITIES IN 2024<br>HELPED TO STRENGTHEN OUR LINKS<br>WITH CHURCHES AND<br>ORGANISATIONS ELSEWHERE. WE<br>WERE INVITED TO A CONFERENCE IN<br>ARAD, ROMANIA AND OUR WELCOME<br>TEAM HAD A CONSTRUCTIVE TIME<br>AWAY. PASTORAL CARE: IN 2024 THE<br>PASTOR ,THE DEACON AND THE<br>WORSHIP LEADER LOOKED AFTER ALL<br>MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH. WE<br>PREPARED THE CHURCH SERVICES<br>AND ALL OTHER CHURCH ACTIVITIES.<br>AS CHRISTIANS WE BELIEVE THAT<br>PEOPLE'S SPIRITUAL NEEDS CANNOT<br>BE ADDRESSED WITHOUT<br>CONSIDERING THEIR PHYSICAL<br>NEEDS. THE CHURCH HELPED<br>FINANCIALLY ONE FAMILIY WHO WERE<br>IN NEED AND WENT THROUGH A<br>DIVORCE. ECUMENICAL<br>RELATIONSHIPS: IT IS IMPORTANT TO<br>US TO EMPHASISE AND DEVELOP OUR<br>LINKS WITH FELLOW CHRISTIANS OF|





OTHER DENOMINATIONS AS WE SEEK TO MAKE KNOWN THE LOVE OF CHRIST. WE HAD SEVERAL GUESTS COMING TO PREACH STRENGTHENING OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER CHURCHES. IN 2024 WE WERE VISITED BY BRISTOL BAPTIST CHURCH AND THE 5SOLA CHURCH IN EXETER. VOLUNTEERS: WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHOSE HARD WORK MAKES VERTICAL CHURCH

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 December 2024. 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”) . 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or 

- the accounts do not accord with the accounting records 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
