A LOCAL COUPLE WERE MARRIED IN CHURCH IN DEC 2021 AND WE HAD A BAPTISM SERVICE IN APR 2022. VARIOUS CHURCH ACTIVITIES IN 2022 HELPED TO STRENGTHEN OUR LINKS WITH CHURCHES AND ORGANISATIONS ELSEWHERE. WE WERE INVITED TO A CONFERENCE IN ARAD, ROMANIA AND OUR LEADERS HAD A CONSTRUCTIVE TIME AWAY. PASTORAL CARE: IN 2022 THE PASTOR AND THE ELDER LOOKED AFTER ALL MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH. WE PREPARED THE CHURCH SERVICES AND ALL OTHER CHURCH ACTIVITIES. AS CHRISTIANS WE BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE'S SPIRITUAL NEEDS CANNOT BE ADDRESSED WITHOUT CONSIDERING THEIR PHYSICAL NEEDS. THE CHURCH BOUGHT FOOD PARCELS AND DISTRIBUTED THEM TO PEOPLE IN NEED. ECUMENICAL RELATIONSHIPS: IT IS IMPORTANT TO US TO EMPHASISE AND DEVELOP OUR LINKS WITH FELLOWCHRISTIANS OF OTHER DENOMINATIONS AS WE SEEK TO MAKE KNOWN THE LOVE OF CHRIST. WE ORGANISED A FEW MEETINGS BETWEEN THE LEADERS OF OUR CHURCH AND THE LEADERS OF THE BAPTIST CHURCH IN YEOVIL, SO WE CAN SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER. VOLUNTEERS: WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHOSE HARD WORK MAKES VERTICAL CHURCH YEOVIL A LIVELY, WELCOMING AND OUTGOING COMMUNITY.
