Activities for the year 2021/22
Bradfield Village Hall caters for people of all ages, hosting a wide variety of clubs and organisations’ activities. The hall was closed at the start of the year due to the COVID 19 pandemic, but from June 2021 the hirers returned, and the hall has been well used.
Further opportunities have been taken this year to make improvements to the hall. New carpets have been laid, new equipment has been purchased for the kitchen and sports and games activities have been provided for users.
Accounts for the year 2021/22
The accounts show a deficit of £3010 (2020/21 surplus of £1,796), but this is after expenditure on equipment and enhancements of £3405.31. Hall hire increased to £5268 (2020/22 £381) and is forecast to be higher in 2022/23
Risk Areas and Risk Management
Free reserves of £10,753 are held at the year-end, which is sufficient to cover approximately two years of regular operating costs. The trustees are confident that the hall trading income will be sufficient to cover hall operating costs in future years, as well as generating surpluses that will enable continued enhancements to the hall.
