## STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT 

The governing instrument is the constitution adopted on the 5[th] April 2019 as amended on the 10[th] September 2019.  The club registered as a charity on 8 January 2020. 

The Objects are 

1. To promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities and coaching for amateur boxing in Wigton and the surrounding district 

The trustees have complied with the duty in Section 4 of the Charities Act 2006 with regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission. 

The club became a charity on 8[th] January 2020 and took over the assets of the previous club. 

## FINANCIAL REVIEW 

The club continues to grow with an increase in fees.  There has also been a large increase in the grants received.  Fundraising has also helped due to a sponsored run and a boxing home show.  The increase in income has allowed the club to pay the premises expenses and also to purchase boxing equipment and club clothing.  As a consequence the club had income of £30,944 (2024 £7,234) and expenditure of £17,045 (2024 £12,085) with assets purchased of £3,357 to give a surplus of £10,542 (2024 deficit of £4,851).  The cash balance at the end of the year is £12,942. 

Interest in the club is increasing and the increased fee income and continuing support from donors should enable the club to continue into the future. 

The Trustees have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Commission in exercising their powers and duties.
