## **Trustees’ Annual Report and Financial Summary**
## **Assistance Dog Council (ADC) For the Year Ended 31 March 2021**
## **Introduction**
The trustees of the Assistance Dog Council (ADC) are pleased to present their annual report for the fiscal year ending 31 March 2021. The report reflects the charity’s ongoing commitment to bringing equality to all assistance dog users throughout the UK.
## **Objectives and Activities**
In line with ADC’s objectives, we provided advice, support, and education to assistance dog handlers and service providers while promoting animal welfare and training support. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we adapted to continue serving our beneficiaries effectively.
## **Achievements and Performance**
During the year, ADC:
1. Assisted handlers with disputes and provided vital advice through publications and digital communication.
2. Distributed educational materials to service providers to enhance understanding of assistance dog users’ rights.
3. Conducted checks to ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010.
4. Delivered virtual workshops on animal welfare.

## **Challenges**
The COVID-19 pandemic posed significant operational challenges, including restricted in-person events and reduced volunteer availability. However, ADC leveraged digital platforms to continue delivering its services.
## **Plans for the Future**
Looking forward, ADC aims to:
1. Expand its digital presence to reach a broader audience.
2. Develop new educational resources targeting specific sectors.
3. Increase support for training programs tailored to individual needs.
