Robin Hood Disabled Riders Annual General Meeting

## MEETING MINUTES 

- Present

- Receive and approve the Accounts of the Group for the financial year ended 31[st] December 2024 

Sara presented the Accounts (copy and report attached).  It was confirmed after the meeting that, because our gross income does not exceed £10,000.00, we do not have to arrange for scrutiny of our accounts by an independent auditor. 

John Parrot proposed increasing the parental contribution for lessons from £10 to £12.  This was seconded by Nick Foster and carried by 3 votes to 5 amongst parents present.  This will come into effect on Monday 14[th] April. 

The meeting unanimously agreed that we would donate £150 to the stables in lieu of a price increase which they forgot to pass on to us last season. 

- Receive a report from the Committee Chairman on the Group’s activities 

Diane presented a report of our activities during the past year (copy attached) 

- Election for the forthcoming year of the following officers: 

   - Group Chairman – Diane Evans was proposed for the position by Louise  Grafton,  seconded  by  Nick  Foster  and  was  duly  elected unopposed. 

   - Group Treasurer – Sara Beard was proposed for the position by Nick Foster, seconded by Susan Harding and was duly elected unopposed. 



Sara advised that this will be her last year in the role and Nick Foster said that he would stand for the position next year once he was semiretired. 

   - Group  Secretary  and  Social  Secretary  –  Lottie  Tyler  and  Louise Grafton  offered  to  share  the  roles  of  Group  Secretary  and  Social Secretary.  They were both proposed for the positions by Sara Beard, seconded by Roy Simpson and duly elected unopposed. 

   - Group  Riding  Coordinator –  Paula  Simpson  was proposed  for  the position by Roy Simpson, seconded by Penny McQuilkin and was duly elected unopposed.   Paula advised that this would be her last year in the post. 

   - Group Fundraising Officers.  Penny McQuilkin and Steve Scall agreed to continue in their roles as Group Fundraising Officers. 

- Any other business 

   - Paula will source a new set of loop reins 

   - Steve Scall will contact Southwell Racecourse to see if we can do a bucket shake in the summer. 

- The meeting closed at 20:03
