Objectives and Activities
We operate within the St Davids Penisula in Pembrokeshire supporting charities and good causes within that area. We raise funds by organising local events including a New Year’s Day swim at Whitesands and local walks. Our objective is:
“To provide or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individual. who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life”
The impact of COVID resulted in very low activity in 2020. The only significant activity was the New Year’s Day Swim.
Achievements and Performance
Because of the lack of activity during the year the amount of money raised was relatively small. Nevertheless because of money raised in previous years we were able to support a number of deserving causes in the year. These included:

£1000 each to ‘Baby Theo’ appeal, Porthmawr Life Saving Club, Pembrokshire Riding for the Disabled and St Davids & Solva Food Pod
Financial Review
We remain in a good financial position (see financial statement for 2020). The balance in hand at the end of 2020 was a little over £7000.
We only raised £5144 in the year because of Covid and meant that we could not have meetings after the beginning of March 2020. Although we were able to agree some actions via email.
We agreed donations to deserving causes totalling £10825 which were mainly funded through earlier year’s fundraising and were agreed in early 2020.
