Achievements and Performance
| SORP reference | ||
|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | The Friends have worked tirelessly to ensure that the users are aware of the environmental importance of the Scrubs through engaging with the users directly, promoting the values through various communication channels including its website, forum, emails, etc., through active engagement with the WSCT, and the local authority, the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, and the Parks and Met Police (particularly when there has been a risk of unauthorised large scale gatherings of the Scrubs). These actions have promoted a sense of safety and security for users, and have discouraged the public from damaging the Scrubs. With HS2 works ongoing on relocation of a sewer on the Scrubs, a group of volunteers have worked with LBHF in carrying out protective works to preserve the wildlife habitat. |
