**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE THE IMPROVEMENT OF INDIVIDUAL AND PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELLBEING, AND THE QUALITY AND STANDARDS OF PATIENT CARE, THROUGH THE EXERCISE OF LOCAL AND NATIONAL INFLUENCE, THE ADVANCEMENT AND SUPPORT OF EFFECTIVE PATIENT PARTICIPATION, AND IN PARTICULAR, OF PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUPS, IN GENERAL PRACTICE AND OTHER PRIMARY HEALTH CARE SERVICES IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.

**Activities:** N.A.P.P. provides support, advice and encouragement to member patient participation groups (PPGs) in UK general practices and other primary health care settings. N.A.P.P. also promotes the benefits of PPGs to practices, Clinical Commissioning Groups and Primary Care Networks and works with national bodies on the importance of the patient voice in encouraging high standards of clinical care.
