the circumstances of its 2019, mainly funded

beneficiaries and any wider loans/donations
from supporters.
We have
benefits to society as a repaired
various items for local residents,

and other
devices that are precious to the owner. Often
there isa family story behind the object.
Beneficiaries include those facing difficult
challenges
such as bereavement,
early
dementia,
medical issues or loneliness.
Sheddington
provides a meeting
place to
build friendships
and to do practical activities
together
including
craft activity and
gardening.
In 2020-21 Covid raised the
importance
of being able to do this.
Sheddington
has built connections
with other
charities such as Richmond
Furniture
Scheme, Age UK, the NHS, Kew Gardens,
Police Community
Support Officers, and with
local councillors.
We have been successful
in applying
for
several
helpful grants, which
will enable us
to expand our activity. Much effort was spent
in 2020-21 getting approvals
to convert an
adjacent wooden
hall into a larger repair
shop and meeting place. This expansion
project is now ready to go ahead.
Sheddington
isa secular, gender neutral
orgahisation
located in the grounds
ofa
Church. Working
with the Church authorities
our joint plan isto create a community
hub
that will revitalise and maximise the value of
the site.
