The German Christian Association (London) Charitable Incorporated Organisation (the Charity) was registered with the Charity Commission on the 18[th] December 2019 with the Charity Number 1187036.
The Charity is dependent on its associated charity, the German YMCA in London (Charity Number 256113), being able to implement its restructuring plans, which would provide the financial resources for the Charity to fulfil the roles foreseen for it in its foundation. Initially these restructuring plans were frustrated by the advent of the pandemic but have subsequently been delayed by the inability of the German YMCA to bring its protracted negotiations with the Trustee of the YMCA Pension Fund to a successful conclusion. This agreement is a necessary pre-requisite to any corporate change.
The Charity’s Trustees have reason to believe that this issue is now capable of early resolution and therefore that it will be possible for the Charity to begin operating as originally envisaged in the course of 2024. In the face of the inability to operate in the interim there have been no formal meetings of the Trustees during 2022.
