Lettsom Allotments AGM March 21st 2024 Chair’s Report
Dear LAA Members,
The Trustees have had another busy year.
We only have a small trustee body and we really do appreciate people stepping up to help with specific tasks. Please do keep this up. It really helps.
What we were asked to do at the last AGM?
At the last AGM (Jan 22) the trustees inherited a number of actions. These are summarised below.
1.Putting the allotments on a proper footing - We have continued the work to put the CIO on a proper footing. This year we have focused on developing a model tenancy agreement which we will be sharing with you at the AGM along with a revision of the Rules.
2. Applications for CGS grants - LBS advised us to reapply for grants that the members voted on at the Jan 23 AGM.
3. Continue with fundraisers and work days - Among other excitements we have also been busy updating the communal areas planting plans with the help of SDCAS,they have planted spring bulbs. We had a very successful work day when we removed some dangerous crazy paving on two paths. We also had a very successful Open day and a Christmas fair.
We would like to thank Larissa for organising the compost order again, and everyone who helped with the Spring open day and December Christmas fundraiser.
If anyone has suggestions for other things that need to be done in 2024, please do not hesitate to raise them at the meeting.

LETTSOM ALLOTMENTS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL ACCOUNTS Year ending 31st December 2023
Treasurer’s Report:
We started the year off with a healthy cash balance of £5,833.23.
This year our expenses have mainly been for Insurance £337.00 , water £558.15 and rent to L.B.S £564.10
Income streams: Plot renta l £1,727.00, £80.00 in donations, fundraising £2,846.65
We have donated £500.00 to DKHAP and £56.70 to Camberwell open gardens.
The closing bank balance as of the 31.12.23 is £8,002.34
