Chairman’s report for 2023.

We have the pleasure of new active volunteers joining us this year. As always a very big thank you to our wonderful instructor, who is the backbone of Malvern Hills RDA. The decision was made by Regency High School, that the group of 12 children who attend riding sessions would be divided into two groups, each attending every fortnight. The reason for this was that the children waiting on the bus became restless and uncomfortable. So far it has worked well.

The feedback from the School Offsite Co-ordinator and the children’s parents has been good. They thank all the volunteers for their hard work and commitment, stating the children benefit greatly.

Our Safeguarding Office has taken over the role of carrying out the induction of new volunteers and green card training. First Aid training and Instructor training continue to be updated.

Treasurer’s report January to December 2023

Total expenditure for the year is £4193.88 Total income £3109.00

Leaving short fall of £1084.88

Our income included a bequest of £1000 also a small funeral collection for Linda Peterson who joined us for a short time last Spring and Summer. The other major income was the very well attended Grooms Talk , given by one of our volunteers which raised £903 and, £380 from the Alfrick show. There were other smaller donations. I would like to thank all those who work tirelessly promoting our cause and making people aware of our work.

There were no unexpected expenses. The Guiness Park Farm facilities cost us £2465.00 and we also replaced out hats to comply with the most recent safety standards. Although there was a shortfall in income against expenses , because of some amazing fund raising by Barbara and others in previous years we are financially well placed to cope with the coming year.
