2021 Annual report
Malvern Hills Group RDA creates an effective environment for self -expression and learning for children from Regency High School, Worcester. We work in partnership with teachers and other support workers to ensure the child educational needs are addressed in a creative and fun way. Horse contact and horse riding provide the environment to develop movement, speech, listening, memory, concentration, balance and coordination. Learning colours, counting, spelling, directions are woven into our lessons. Teachers from the school feedback benefits in the classroom of better focus, self confidence, self esteem and enhanced social skills.
Sadly due to coronavirus precautions very few riding sessions were delivered. The figures do not include any payment to Guiness Park Farm, as the Autumn payment came into the next financial year. So looking at expenditure what we clearly see is that it costs us over £400 per annum, (insurance, mandatory training and disclosure checks) to just exist before going near a horse! 2022 will be more expensive again as bank charges are being introduced and some of the mandatory first aid training will need updating.
Looking at income we have to thank our fund raisers who works tirelessly finding fundraising opportunities. We were blessed with several personal donations throughout the year and a £1000 donated by Worcestershire Farm Women’s Club. We thank all these donors as they make what we do possible. I would also mention our chairman and coach who have given presentations at various meetings to raise awareness of what we do, which attracts more donations.
