TRUSTEE'S ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE PERIOD FROM I" SEPTEMBER 2024- 31st AUGUST 2025 Charity name Llanfairfechan Playgroup Charity reglstration number 1186971 OBJECTIVES AND AcnV￿lEs The purpose of our charity is to provide quality pre-school education for children aged 2-4 as set out in our statement of purpose. Details a￿ provided in our Quality-of-care review attached. We are particularly mindful of the need to remain affordable to all especially with the difficulties this year with increased cost of living. Trustees have had regard to guidan￿ issued by the charity commission. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE We are very proud to have been chosen from all groups across Wale5 to be involved in the making of a promotional video to Show good practice in eady years. We have won a national award for our excellent work in the provision of the Welsh language. The Supervisor is regularly attending leaders. forums, sharing good practice ideas. Staff have attended first aid training and behaviour management courses. 2 stsff are moving forward with their NVQ level 2 and 3. The assistant supervisor is currently doing the Elklan speech and Language course. We are still working on our Welsh language provision with regular visits from the "Crosio'r bont scheme and are now also a Mudiad Meithringroup in line with Welsh Governments policy on language. As a "Flying Start settin￿ all children living in the are3 aged 2+ are fully funded up to when their education provision starts. Further irnprovements h3ve been made to the outdoor area with a music wall and storytelling area created. All sessions have been very busy but we have managed to move thildren around so all can get the opportunity to attend and no child or family misses out. We have received very posttive feed back fiom users of the group following our annual suNey. FINANCIAL REVIEW The following applies. We are in a strong financial position. This posttion has been maintained due to A) All fee5 are being paid regularly on time. The continued use of io hours education provision funding for >year-olds is working well. The Childcare for Wales 30 hours has made a significant differen with increased numbers using the aftemoon session for wrap around care with fees being paid direct to the group. B} The group is now registered fully with fytng start. and fees are paid direttly to the group. Cl Grants are widely available to support improvements to equipment and premisses. D} Community support via the town council. We have been able to maintain a balan￿ to cover a minimum of 6 months wage5 and running costs ¥rRUCTUP.I GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT We have a constitution and are a CIO. Tw5tees are elected by a committee. We are a member of Earlyyears Wales and Mudiad Meithrin registered with CIW and insperted by EsfYN. We take advi￿ from the LEA and Flying start officers Mudiad Meithrin pay and provide our Insuran￿ policies. Payroll is operated by"EARLY YEARS ALUANCE."
