Achievements and Performance
SORP reference
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | In the period ended September 2021 due to the ongoing challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic the charity’s fundraising activities were limited to donations, the sale of merchandise and a golf day event. This continued to frustrate our objective of providing grants to groups or service providers working with people living with a diagnosis of cancer as well as providing grants to charities involved in cancer research. Throughout the pandemic Trustees attended regular virtual and face to face business networking sessions to increase awareness of the symptoms and impact of cancer. The Three Bears Foundation continued to be the resident Charity of four networking groups and during the period met with approximately 100-150 businesses and individuals during networking sessions. |
