Foundation was established and in its first
year it undertook several fundraising
events.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic a face-to-
face wine-tasting event was held in March
2020. However, due to the government
lockdown other face-to-face events planned
for the year were subsequently postponed
or cancelled.
During lockdown a number of virtual fund-
raising events were held including:

A Charity Cooking Evening
•
A Quiz night
•

totalled £11,017.
Costs were incurred during the period in the
sum of £6,585. This included fees paid for
the development of the Charity’s website,
marketing, print and legal costs.
Expenditure also included the procurement
of merchandise for re-sale and costs
incurred in relation to the fundraising
events.
During the period the Three Bears
Foundation continued to maintain its profile,
raise awareness about pancreatic cancer
and plan fundraising events that could be

to the challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic

activities had to be cancelled or postponed

people living with a diagnosis of cancer as

involved in cancer research.
Throughout the pandemic Trustees
attended regular virtual business
networking sessions to increase awareness
of the symptoms and impact of cancer.
The Three Bears Foundation is the resident
Charity of four networking groups and
during the period met with approximately
100-150 businesses and individuals during
