|---|---|---|
|Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.|Para 1.20|In the period ended September 2020 due
to the challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic
the majority of the charity’s fundraising
activities had to be cancelled or postponed
as businesses furloughed their staff. As a
consequence significantly less funds were
raised than originally planned. This
frustrated our objective of providing grants
to groups or service providers working with
people living with a diagnosis of cancer as
well as providing grants to charities
involved in cancer research.
Throughout the pandemic Trustees
attended regular virtual business
networking sessions to increase awareness
of the symptoms and impact of cancer.
The Three Bears Foundation is the resident
Charity of four networking groups and
during the period met with approximately
100-150 businesses and individuals during
networking sessions.|
