The objects of the CIO are to protect and promote the health of the public. The objects of the CIO are supporting research relating to cancer and, in particular, metastatic cancer; providing information in all areas in respect of cancer and; promoting care, involvement and support for those affected by cancer and, in particular, by metastatic cancer.

To promote and protect the health of the public, in particular by research into the prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer, including research into practical applications for the prevention treatment and cure of cancer and to disseminate the useful results of such research to the public.
