## **Trustee Report** 

Charity law requires the trustees to prepare statements of accounts for each financial year. In preparing those financial statements the trustees are required to:- 

- Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently 

- Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent 

- Prepare the financial statements on the ongoing concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the trust will continue to operate. 

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with ‘The Charity’ (Accounts and Audit) Regulations 1995. 

## **Trustee Message** 

In March 2023, Rachel, Audrey and Susan welcomed Robert as the newest trustee for the charity. There was a short period of inactivity, whilst the trustee recruitment was taking place. All trustees are now enthused and looking forward to organising charity activities in the future. 

Whilst there has been no change in charity income in 2023, patrons have donated clothes and books which we have been able to send to a local school in Breman, this has been gratefully received.
