We are a small charity that rescues sick and injured wildlife, be it birds or mammals and our aim is to release them back into the wild once it has recovered.
2020/21 proved to be a very trying and difficult period for us due to the Coronavirus pandemic. All fundraising events and activities were cancelled, hence income was greatly affected. We had to rely on donations of food, money etc mostly from the local community.
It also affected the running of the centre due to volunteers being unable to access the centre for many wees due to lock down and help with the general day to day running.
We still managed to take in wildlife during this period and feel very proud that we achieved what we did.
Normally our money is raised in various ways, donations, some monthly from supporters, some from people bring in the sick creatures, tin collections at various locations, fundraising events such as quiz’s and Bingo. All money received is spent on food, medicine and veterinary fees for the wildlife.
Our aim is to carry on with this work and at the same time improve facilities at the centre in the way of providing new aviaries etc.
