The trustees present their first report and accounts for the period from 9[th] December 2019 to 31st May 2021. The trustees have opted, under section 133 of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Charities Act’), to prepare receipts and payments accounts

Objectives and Aims

1. To advance the Christian faith in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Trustees may from time to time think fit and to fulfil such other purposes which are exclusively charitable according to the law of England and Wales and are connected with the charitable work of the charity.

  1. The prevention or relief of poverty in such parts of the world as the Trustees may from time to time think fit by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.

Summary of main activities

Public benefit

The trustees have read and given due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.

Achievement and Performance

Charitable activities

Project Exodus

Through Project Exodus, the charity has been able to provide freedom to 10 Christian families from slavery in Pakistan. These families have not only been brought to freedom but help was provided to rehouse them and to ensure that at least one member had enough resources to set up in business. This would then ensure that a regular income was gained to sustain all of the family so they could provide for themselves. Through the Project Exodus follow up program the rescued families have been able to integrate themselves into local churches and community.

Hope for the Nation School

We have been able to start “Hope for the Nation” school for the marginalized and persecuted Hindu Community in Thar desert located in the Sindh Province of Pakistan.

Hope for Nation School is providing good, regular and necessary education to 130 Hindu Children. The school is helping the local community by raising awareness to understand the importance of education of their children.

Pastors Support Program

The Charity has been able to provide regular financial support to 7 Pastors in Pakistan from difficult rural areas.

In helping the pastors meet their needs by supporting themselves, they have, in turn been able to reach the unreached with the good news of the gospel, advancing the Christian faith in harsh and difficult areas of Pakistan.

The Pastor support program provided special assistance during Covid19 helping an additional 43 Pastors with financial help and enough sustenance to maintain them during a particular harsh time.

Additionally, one-time financial help was provided to Pastors in Tanzania, India and Bulgaria who similarly were struggling due to the pandemic.

Scholarships for Students

We provided scholarships to four students in total. Two of the students were provided with these much-needed scholarships enabling them to study in boarding school while their parents were able to continue their work as missioners in remote parts of Pakistan. Two bible college students were provided scholarships in order to further their theological training.

Food Bags

Food bags were provided to poor and persecuted Christians during the Christmas period enabling them to be able to share in the joys of the Christmas and have enough to eat.

During the covid-19 Pandemic, food bags were provided to the most harsh and remote locations in Pakistan. From the plains of the Punjab province through to the Sindh interior and in to the heart of Thar desert, 790 food bags were delivered and handed out to those that were most in need.

Financial review

Unrestricted cash reserves held at the year-end amounted to £ 4,038.

Reserves policy

The trustees have established a policy whereby the unrestricted funds not committed or invested in tangible fixed assets held by the Charity should be approximately three months of the resources expended. At this level the trustees feel that they would be able to continue the current activities of the Charity in the event of a significant drop in income.
