Constitution & Legal Structure: Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered on 9[th] December 2019.

Trustee Selection & Appointment: Trustees are appointed by resolution of the existing trustees at an ordinary meeting and serve for a term of 3 years. New trustees are selected based on relevant skills and knowledge that will aid the charity and undergo an induction covering trustee responsibilities and charity operations.

## 3. **Objectives and Activities**

and young people aged 0-18, resident in South Wales who may have mental health diiculties or

additional learning needs, whether diagnosed or not. In particular but not exclusively by providing accessible, aordable activities and opportunities for recreation, social interaction, friendship and emotional support for them, and their parents/carers.

Main Activities: This year we again carried our actions in line with our charitable aims and objectives providing social opportunities and activities for children, and their families, with a variety of needs including disabilities and mental health conditions.

provide support and advice, reduce isolation, increase self-esteem and benefit both mental and physical wellbeing. Our activities are subsidised so families can attend at an aordable cost, and we also oer fully subsidised activities for families who request that support.

We organised several activities over the 12 months including:

- cold dipping.

- Active activities – go karting, trampolining, exclusive skate park hire, kickboxing taster sessions, bouldering, gymnastics, free running, archery tag, bushcraft, fencing, white water rafting, zip lining, axe throwing, outdoor laser tag, soft play.

- Carers activities – spa days, afternoon tea, pottery workshop, wreath making, jewellery making, pamper sessions, comedy nights, distillery and cocktail making nights, meals, alpaca encounter.

- Dad’s nights – axe throwing, go karting, Escape rooms, mini golf, and darts.

- Cinema Trips

- Christmas events – concert, carers night out, Christmas market trip, Santa’s steam train, Fonmon Castle, Ice skating at Winter Wonderland, Pantomime.

- Score Arcade, Escape rooms.

- Day trips - Techniquest, Mountain view ranch, Raglan farm park, The Meadows Wildlife centre, Cardi Halloween festival, Cefn Mably farm park.

- Whole family residential trip to Llangranog Urdd.

We continued to supply our families with period products and food and toy hampers for those who were struggling at Christmas. This helped with reducing financial pressures and anxiety over what can be a diicult time for families.

## 4.

The trustees have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity’s aims and objectives and in planning future activities. In particular, the trustees have considered how planned activities will contribute to the aims and objectives they have set.

## 5. **Achievements and Performance**

service users said they saw an increase in the children’s self-confidence, ability to join in activities, better communication with both peers and adults, increases in socialisation and the building of peer-to-peer friendships. Several of the families told us that finding Rewild Play changed their lives for the better and they don’t know how they would have coped without the support that we were able to provide them.

## 6. **Financial Review**

Financial Position: Total income for the period was £106,398 this includes income from grants, donations and activities. Total expenditure was £101,036, leaving a surplus of £5,362.

Reserves Policy: The trustees aim to maintain unrestricted reserves at a level equivalent to approximately 3 to 6 months of running costs. This ensures continuity of services in the event of a temporary drop in funding. Current unrestricted reserves stand at £29,151, which meets this target.

Debts: The CIO holds no major long-term debts.

## 7. **Principal Risks and Uncertainties**

The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the CIO is exposed, in particular those related to operations and finances, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to major risks.

- Funding instability/loss of income – The Trustees ensure that there is a steady stream of funding applications being submitted to ensure we have access to the funds we need to run our activities. The Trustees also ensure that we keep 3-6 months of operating costs in our reserves to act as a buer between one funding ending and another beginning.

- loss of trust – The Trustees ensure that themselves and all volunteers are adequately trained to spot safeguarding issues. One of our trustees (Joanne French) is the designated safeguarding lead to whom all issues are reported. The charity has a safeguarding policy and ensures all Trustees and volunteers know what to do in the event of a safeguarding concern.

- Loss of key personnel or Trustees – The trustees mitigate this risk by ensuring that no one person has sole access to important information such as banking transactions,

we use for our operations.

control measures remain eective.

## 8. **Plans for Future Periods**

services while maintaining financial sustainability. The primary objectives include:

- Service delivery – We will continue to provide a range of inclusive and exclusive activities that are responsive to the needs and wants of our families. We will also look to increase the number of families we are able to reach, oering support to more people who need it. We will continue to build a community where our families feel supported and heard.

- Funding and sustainability – We will continue to look for grants to support the activities our families would like us to run. We will look at applying for multi-year grants to give us better financial stability moving forward and the ability to plan our services further into the future.

- Governance and capacity – We will look to recruit more volunteers to strengthen the skills of the charity and allow for the workload to be shared eectively reducing the likelihood of volunteer burnout.

Declaration

The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees' report above.
