APPENDIX TO THE ANNUAL REPORT FOR YEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH 2022 -
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The 2021 festival was held in October. during the half term. Thls had been
delayed from its usual time of the weekend nearest to Elgarfs birthday. usually
the first weekend in June, due to the Covid pandemic, having been cancelled
in 2020 altogether. The 2022 festival retumed to its usual slot
The festival was supported by a grant from the kn Council of £23,175 as well
as Local Authority grants amounting to £10.5￿ and private income from
trusts and foundations of £6,OCKI. The festival is very appreciative of these
grants and donations. Total income was £51,086, which includes sales of
tickets and programmes.
total cost of putting on the festtval was £47,115. which includes artists,
the orchestra, venue hire and other associated costs.
As at 31st March the festival had £5.847 in its current account at Bardays
Bank.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Elgar Festical,
Worcester for the year ended 31st March 2022.

I raport in respect of my examination of trustees, accounts carried out under
