Ob"ectives and activities
To advance in life and relieve the needs of young people who are
current and fomier attendees of Ysgol David Hughes secondary
school and those who live in the catchment area but did not attend
the school through: a)providing opportunities for short term work
experien￿ and pla￿MentS which develop their skills, capactties,
and capabilities to enable them lo contribute more fully to society
and enhance their own futures", b)by providing grants for individuals
who require financial assistance in order to attend such
lacements.
Summary of the objects of the
charity set out in its
governing document
The Charty was registered on the 6th 01 December 2019 having already
re￿iVed an initial donation of £45,000 from Trustee Howard Gray
Roberts in memory of his late mother after whom the Charily is named.
Unfortunately, the Covid Pandemic inteNened shortly after set up and
the particular nature of the work of the Charity, i.e. sourcing work
experience placements for young people and providing grants, where
required, to facilitate attendance was agreed, by 811 trustees to be
temporarily not suitable in the light of the unvaccinated risks to young
people and the measured reluctance of third parties to agree lo
placements in such an environment.
Summary of the maln
activities undertaken for the
public benefit in relatson to
these objects (include withln
thls section the statutory
declaration that trustees have
had regard to tho guidance
Issued by the Charity
Commission on publlc
benefit)
The Charities ambition was significant to both $e¢ur8 safe work
experience placements for young people within the defined catchment
area and award grants to attendees to assist wilh attendance I See
abovel.
Regrettably, the Chaflty Is yet to commence Ihe significant work needed
to set up the actions and structures for it to commence its intended
function.
This is due mainly to the fact that Iwo CO￿ tnjstees are both in full time
employmenl I not with the Charityl with a much-increased workload,
since the Charity was initially founded.
The Chanty intends to examine as to how it can best proceed with its
planned purpose going forward.

Achievements and performance
The Charity was registered on the 6. De￿mber 201& having already
received an inilial donation of £45.000 from Truslee Howard Gray
Roberts in memory of his late mother, after whom, the Charity is named.
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
Unfortunately, the Covid Pandemic intervened shortly after sel up and
the particular nature of the work of the Charity, i.e. sourcing work
experience placements for young people and providing grants, where
requi￿d. to facilitate attendance was agreed to be temporarily unsuitable
by all trustees in the light of the unvaccinated risks to young people and
the measured understandable reluctance, of third parties, to agree to
placements in such an environment.
The pandemic effects now in the past, the Charily work unfortunately is
still yet lo commence in the lighl of the significant limitation of two core
trustees. availability, due lo full lime employment and other significant
Charity commitments of one trustee.
