## **HAMSTERLEY COMMUNITY SPORTS ASSOCIATION**
## **ANNUAL REPORT 2024**
The Hamsterley Community Sports Association (“HCSA”) and its working group, in partnership with the Hamsterley Parish Council, has continued to progress the MUGA project in 2024, with the majority of the works completed and the MUGA open to the public.
Following on from the completion of the MUGA refurbishment and its opening to the public in October 2023, the facility continued to be used throughout 2024. There were regular tennis and sports coaching sessions arranged for children during the school holidays. These were well attended and proved to be very popular. In addition, Hamsterley Primary School held weekly sports sessions at the MUGA throughout term time.
The final stage of the project, the installation of a footpath to allow safe pedestrian access to the MUGA from the edge of the village, went out to tender in 2024. Quotes were received from several local businesses and one was appointed by the end of the year, with the work due to commence in early 2025.
