## **Westbury Shed AGM**
Meeting held on Sat 29/03/25, 2pm at Grassacres Hall
## **MINUTES**
**Those present:** Martin McGiff (MM), Fred Beckett (FB), Daphne Beckett (DB) **Apologies:** Apologies were received from Gerald Starling.
**Minutes:** The minutes were agreed as correct.
**Chairman’s report:** see attached.
**Treasurer’s report:** see attached.
**Westbury Shed** are still struggling for members. We have recruited 4 more members this year, but need to get the word around of when we are open
**Election of Trustees:** The following Trustees were re-elected on bloc - Fred Beckett - Chairman, Daphne Beckett - Secretary, Martin McGiff - Treasurer. **Date of next AGM:** Saturday 28th March 2026, 2pm at Grassacres Hall
## **Treasurers Report**
Not a lot has happened since the last AGM, Money in the bank is still Positive, so no changes needed now as mentioned at the last meeting. The only difference is we are now in our portacabin at the WCP building and no longer having to pay rent. This is thanks to the Mercers grant allowing us to purchase our own workshop and the WCP allowing us to site it on there land. Start of the financial year as at 01/03/2024 was £5977.76 and we ended at £15660.50
Although £10000 is red circled to our WCP quite room project so leaving £5660.50 usable reserve. This shows a drop in reserve of only £317.26 as we purchased Equipment and Tools from our grants also spent £497 on much needed clean-up of our controlled areas, all are in line with budget. Project work for next year will consume the £10000 for our log cabin quite room project for use at the WCP.
We received 3 grants from organisations with the Area board grant split in 2 totalling £3448 and the town council £180 making a fund of £3628 to help with the purchase of much needed tools and equipment. The Mercers grant of £10000 will be spent later on our log cabin quite room project for use at the WCP.

## **Chairman’s report**
As I’ve been Chairman of this charity for 7 years it gives me great pleasure to see the costs to operate coming down to a very manageable level as the treasurer mentioned in his report, we are now in units that we own and only need to pay upkeep and no rent. We have been looking at all costs as the treasure will tell you, as we need to more grants to support our growth. We are working closely with Grass acres to support our cabin round there with organising clean up around the area as we agreed to cover this cost against rent.
Plans are in place, to get the allotments re branded into a community garden with investment into making the area more youth friendly. **Fred Beckett 28th March 2025**
