## **SECTION D                 OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES** 

## **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document.** 

To advance the education of the public in particular, but not exclusively in the subject of coding and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). 

## **Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects.** 

Teaching programming languages, HTML/CSS, Scratch and Python, to children and young people aged 7 to 18 years old and mentoring sessions to young people.

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year.** 

Launching a Data Science programme. Two staff members joined the charity and paid instructors to deliver and support the development of classes and the curriculum. 

Impacting over 100 children and young people a week.

**Brief summary of significant increases in income or expenditure in the year** 

Major grants received from National Lottery Community Fund (£9.24k), Southwark Council (£10k) and the London Community Fund (£10k). Corporate donations received from SamKnows (£2.1k) and AIG (£3.75k). Staff expenditure of £35.5k in the year.

Our reserves policy is to hold sufficient reserves to cover two months of operational costs.
