For the period of 01.12.2022 to
30.11.2023, Karuvi {SRDA) Uk has
provlded funds for the following.
1. Dry food dlstrlbthion to over 800
Differently abled members
(Disabled members) of Karuvl Srl
Lanka, on a rota basis to support
and malntaln their health and
well-being in the society.
2. As mentioned last yeaf s Annual
Report, Karuvi UK has provided
funds to reclaiming the destroyed
Eco system due to war, by
planting trees wlth the help of
Green layer Plantation in order to
avoid more destruction to the
environment and the climate.
3. Due to the current economi
situation and less donations were
obtsined from the publiclwell-
wishers in the northern province,
we provide funds to partially
support the Offlce expenses for
the smooth runnlng of the office.
4. Funds were provided as per
request to develop the farni land
donated by a well-wisher, as
mentioned in the last year's
report. As the land is cleared last
year and ready for further work
and to prepare and secure the
land for cultivation, funds were
sent to, install Ilve fence,
entrance pillar and sliding gate,
Tube well for clean drinking water
forthe workers and forthe
Irrlgation, motor room with
veranda
urchase of motor and

complete the worK funds

5. As the completion of perimeter
wall for the building site as
mentioned In the last year's
Annual Report, funds were
provided for the following on
request. To construct the main
entrance gate to protect and
secure the land, building costfor
the work started since July 2023
and to get the 3 phase electricity
supply.
6. Successful completion of 10
years as a charity, Karuvi Sri
Lanka has celebrated with
providing lunch to its registered
members and educational
materials to the children of the
differently abled members and
prizes for the competitors in
different flelds of culture and
language.

hosting for Karuvi ISRDA) UK, as
the cost is less com
red to UK.

1. Due to the Economic condition in Sri
Lanka and the donations received from
the well-wishers are not enough to
cover the office expenses, Karuvi
(SRDA)~ UK, is providing funds to
parttally cover the office overheads in
Sri Lanka to avoid any dlsruptlon of

A) Construction of a permanent bulldlng
In a land purchased from the donations
by volunteers to accommodate the
office as well as the 2 production units
which provides employment to the
Differently abled people are currently
functionlng in 3 different places in a
rented property. Perlmeter wall to the
property is now completed and the
funds sent are used to secure the
property with gate as the building work
has started in July 2023. Also to get the
3 phase electricity supply to continue
the building work.
B) The funds were sentto start the
erection of the live fence wlth entrance
gate to protect the fami land. Initial work
to irrlgate the land is started with the
construction of Tube well, motor room
and purchase of motor. ancillary
materlals, water tank with associated
pipe connections and electricity supply.
Now the work Is in progress at the 2
sites and once it is completed It will
provide employment to the dlfferently
abled people according to their abllity
and to the single parent who lost thelr
spouse in war and create Income to
support their family ratherthan rely on
the hand4)uts.

Thls Financial year Karuvl {SRDA)- UK
has allocated funds to provide Dry food
ration to the Differently abled members
who are in a poverty level to malntain
their health and the well-being. A new
venture-ECO Friendly Gannent Project
introduced by Karuvi Srl Lanka to
provide tralning and employment to
vulnerable people in the society Ilke
dlsabled people {according to their
ability) and to Single parent (Women
who lost thelr husband due to war etc.)
In the Northern Province of Sri Lanka.
This Project which is successfully
functlonlng to date not only provide
employment but also generate a regular
income to the vulnerable people in the
society which gives confidence to look
after themselves rather than depending
on State and others for their da

include themselves in the society and to
lead a nomial life.
The work is in progress on their
respective sites of the 2 projects of
constructlon of a pem)anent bulldlng to

their abllity and to the single parent
family in the nearfuture once the work
is completed.

funds is functioning successfully. This
project has been witnessed by the
Trustees Chairman- Mr Segaram, when
he visited Srl Lanka on a fa¢t-finding

Mr Navaratnam Sathananthan has been
appointed as a Treasuerer at the Trustee
Meeting on 30th November 2023 and Mr
Kajaneshan has handed over his duties
to Mr Sathananthan due to change in his
circumstances but remains as a Trustee.
Karuvi (SRDA) Sri Lanka is the parent
charity established in Sri Lanka for
which Karuvi {SRDAI- UK is supporting
financially to achieve the objectives of
the chari
