facilites for benefciaries who live in
Stafordshire, especially in the Lichfeld &
Cannock Chase and the surrounding areas, for
those people who are in need, including frail,
elderly, poor or disabled to improve and
maintain their health and wellbeing by
atending health and social setngs.

The benefts from the project include:
Improved or stable health of members of our
community due to them being able to atend
important health appointments and ultmately
staying out of costly hospital beds Less
isolaton for clients and for volunteers Less cost
to the public purse i.e. annually, over 2500
more cost efectve journeys to health
appointments instead of using hospital
transport. Improved mental and social
wellbeing for visitors and the visited in
hospitals and care setngs. More convenient
and reassuring to the client as the drivers wait
and return the client home afer their
appointment.
Any resident who has no private transport
available and cannot use or fnds it difcult to
use the local bus or train service to undertake
essental journeys. People living within the
Lichfeld, Tamworth and Cannock Chase areas
are the users of the service. The criteria used
is: Visitng your doctor, dentst, chiropodist,
optcian, health appointments Visitng sick
relatves to connect a bus or train service
where public transport is suitable for your
journey but you need the scheme to get you to
the public transport terminus Atendance at a
hospital clinic or health clinic where Health
Authority transport is not provided
