the charity as set out in its

The objects of the CIO are to provide transport
facilities for beneficiaries who live in
Staffordshire, especially in the Lichfield &
Cannock Chase and the surrounding areas, for
those people who are in need, including frail,
elderlyi poor or disabled to improve and
maintain their health and wellbeing by attending
health and social settings.

The benefits from the project include.. Improved
or stable health of members of oijr community
due to them being able to attend important
health appointments and ultimately staying out
of costly hospital beds Less isolation for clients
and for volunteers Less cost to the public purse
i.e. annually, over 2800 more cost effective
Journeys to health appointment5 instead of
using hospital transport. Improved mental and
social wellbeing for visitors and the vlslted in
hospitals and care settings. More convenient
and reassurlng to the client as the drivers wait
and return the client home after their
appointment.
Any resident who has no private transport

volunteer drivers, 5 Admin volunteers and I part
time member of staff.
The journeys included appointments at local
GP'S, dentists. chiropodists, physios, opticians.
Journeys took place in Stafford5hire, West
Midlands,Shropshire, leicestershire and
Derbyshire.
