during the year|||||||From the end of November 2019to March 2020 the scheme
he support ofa bank ofover 30 volunteer
drivers, 5volunteer
administrators
and one part time member ofstaff.|operated|with|| ||||||||Over 500journeys
to health settings were completed. The journeys|||| ||||||||included
appointments
at local GP's, dentists,
chiropodists,|||| ||||||||physiotherapists
and opticians. Journeys also included
appointments||at|| ||||||||hospitals across Staffordshire
and further afield into the West|Midlands||| ||||||||and Derbyshire.|||| ||||||||In March last year the scheme had to be suspended
due to the pandemic|||| ||||||||as many ofour drivers are vulnerable
to the transmission
of coronavirus.|||| ||||||||The scheme telephone
lines have been diverted to the member ofstaff|||| ||||||||'th an answerphone
facility inviting
clients to leave their contact details|||| ||||||||or the future. A list is kept to enable cfients to be contacted when we are|||| ||||||||due to re-open, which is hoped for the beginning
