## **Annual Report for the Charity Commission**

## **Registration Number 1146047**

## **Introduction**

The work of the IMOS Foundation progressed smoothly during the year in accordance with the annual plan decided upon by the trustees.

## **Murals.**

There was a modest amount of restoration carried out but continued deterioration after over ten years of public display led to general agreement to allow these to lapse and be removed as needed. Suggestion that the wall space at Sainsbury’s be open for new ideas and different artist’s work

## **RM Standard.**

Flag sales continue. RMVC found to be selling at £14.99 against recommended amount of £10. Recommended that our own price increases either to the RMVC or to the direct buyers or both.

## **The Romney Marsh Tapestry** .

This major work is close to being completed. The dykes and ditches still to be done, part of the RH&DR and one or two oddments. Thereafter we must put all the pieces together and think about the frame. Trustees pleased with reported progress.

## **Europe.**

We continue to develop various European exchanges and collaborations. The IMOS Foundation is close to the European Movement both nationally and locally. We have been offered use of a EU premises near the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.

## **Poetry Collections** .

We are working on the Romney Marsh collection and have begun a collection of EU country poems as part of the Winter in Europe project. The idea is that other travelers to the EU countries might like to contribute.

## **All Saints Heritage and Sculpture Park.**

Work on the church ruins themselves has been completed and paid for … a great enterprise. QR Codes in situ. Several new works including Khalil Gibran, by trustee RM, Shakespeare, St Thomas a Becket and Shankaracharya have been installed. Soon to be delivered are works on Copernicus, Keppler and Galileo, and The Three Queens. Sgt Stanislav Duszynski by Robert Truscott, a gifted sculptor, has made progress but this sculptor has been very dilatory.

Artists will be recognised on a new notice board towards which the RMHCT have offered to pay since it will have a history of the Scheduled Monument as its main purpose. It will also carry relevant poems.

## **Financial Matters.**

Fundraising is ongoing as always. There is approximately £4,500.00 in the charity bank account. Charity Commission records are all up to date.

## **Trustees.**

Ramzi Mallat has become a full trustee, representing both a new generation and all the contributing artists. Sophia Falkiner is no longer active as a trustee but is available as an extra bank signatory, if required, and therefore remains on record.

## **Heritage Centre.**

A design has been drawn up. Seems unlikely to be realised in the present economic climate.

## **Artists.**

The charity continues to engage with new artists and maintains relationships with those who have already contributed to the projects. BREXIT has made the involvement of artists from overseas difficult. This is due to increased transport costs and customs regulations.

## **Volunteers.**

We are lucky to have a stable groups of volunteers who have put in several years of service. Occasionally a new one is added or sometimes a particular project brings in some from outside on a temporary basis.

## **Conclusion.**

Trustees are satisfied that the aims and objectives of the IMOS Foundation charity are being met and ambitious plans are gradually being realised within what remains a modest budget.
