Dulverton heritage centre The objects of the CIO are, for the public benefit:
(1) We continue to preserve the heritage of Dulverton and Exmoor
(2) we have continued to advance education in, and promote understanding and appreciation of, the history, heritage, culture and traditions of Dulverton and Exmoor by way of offering a number of displays and virtual examples of life as it was in olden times. (3) To maintain a museum and art gallery for the benefit of the public. This years exhibition has featured Lorna Doone. Of note, Dulverton has more mentions than any other settlement in the 19th century book of the same name by R.D Blackmoor. We have maintained our gallery with. Number of local artists displaying their work which is also offered for sale thereby benefiting the local economy in such a rural area.
We Continue to display a “oo” fine gauge working model of the railway station.
