Recruitment and appointrnent of new trustOgS
Prospective trustees are introduced to the committee and interviewed in order to ascertain whether or not they
are able to fulfil the role. If the board of trustees agrees to the appointment, the new addition is offered
information and advice on how to fulfil their duties.
Induction and training of now truslees
New trustee5 are invited to sit in on committee meetings and are advised to read the Charity Commission5
guidance 'The Essential Trustee, prior to taking up their ap￿)Intment.
Organi8ational strudure
The board of trustees meets approximately On￿ per month and votes as a committee on matters arising at those
meetings. The committee includes the positions of Chairman. Treasurer. Secretary and Booking Secretary.
However, important matters are always reviewed by the trustees as a whole.
Risk management
The trustees have a duty to identify and review the risk5 to which the chartty 15 exposed and to ensure
appropriate controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud and error.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITES
Objectives and aims
The object of the CIO is for the public benefrt to relieve and proteci the physical health of children in India with
Clubfoot and to assist in their rehabilitation as a result of their condition.

The main activtty undertaken continues to be the support of children born with clubfoot in India.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserves policy
It 15 the charity's policy to maintain a balance on unrestricted funds equivalent to at least 3 months unrestricted
payments.
The net incorrhinglloutgoingl resources for the year were1£5,167112022 _ £2,653] on unrestricted funds. At the
year end the chaiity held unrestrirted reserves of £2.04012022 - £7.2071 and restricted reserves of £0.
STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES REPONSIBILtTIES
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Report of the Trustees and the financial statements in accordance
with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards Iunited Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting
Practice).
The law applicable to charttie5 in England and Wale5, the Charite5 Act 2011, Charities Statemerht of
Recommended Practise ISORPI 'FRS 102 Second edition, issued October 2019 and the provisions of the trust
deed requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view
of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources. including the
income and expenditure, of the charity for that period. In preparing those financial statements. the trustees are
required to
select suitsble accounting policies and then apply them consistentlv-
observe the methods and principles in the Charity SORP..
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent:
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the
charity will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at
any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply
with the Charities Act 2011, the Charity IAtcounts and Reports) Regulations 2(KJ8 and the provisions of the trust
deed. They are a150 responsible for Safeguarding the asset5 of the charity and herhce for taking reasonable steps
for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
