Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Our work has been twofold; the sponsoring of students at Nile Vocational Institute and practical and financial support of local institutions. At the start of 2023 we were able to advise NVI that we could take on 45 new students, including any upgrading students. However, this was subsequently increased to 45 new students, plus 10 upgraders. During the Team visit in February 2024 we were able to refurbish the main classroom, including workshop, of the Tailoring Department. This department is included within the Domestic Technology Department Building which received much needed attention during 2020/21. Money and some equipment was left in order that the students could refurbish the second, smaller classroom before our next visit.
