Other optional information
The COVID pandemic put a halt on all work being done by Coffin Club Derby. 3 events were planned during lockdown, which the Trustees agreed were not viable or safe. The safety of attendees and speakers were always paramount. All 3 of the trustees were key workers during the covid pandemic, with the chair working within the funeral industry.
However, this is not to say that work has not been ongoing. The Chair has made valuable connections within the community and has secured a free venue for future coffin clubs. Interest is growing within the funeral industry and relationships have been maintained.
Coffin Club Derby will go ahead in from March 2022 in the new venue and will be reported in the annual report for 2021/22. Planning for this has begun. No money was taken or spent since the charity was formed.
In 2022 grants will be applied for and the constitution will be reviewed to include Coffin Club providing Grief support and Death café’s
