Haringey Street Pasiors Registered Chariiy No.: 1186484 lili s.'Ilstreei asioi-s.or Ilocalionslhariii I REET ANNUAL REPORT & ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR 2025 (01.01.2025- 31.12.2025) Presented to the AGM/Managemeni Teatn Meeting on 30.04.2026 BACKGROUND Haringey Streei Pasior5 (HSP) started its activities in the London Borough of Haringey in December 2006. HSP became a CIO on 20.11.2019. 11 is a small local initiative currently with 7 active fftembers in 2 teams. All Street Pastors are Jnembers of local Churches of various Christian denominations. ACTIVITIES Oui of the 24 pairols scheduled for the reporting period HSP realised 23 ouungs. During these palrols a iotal of 430 empty glass boitles were collected and safely disposed off. On each patrol ai least 3 Sireei Pastors are present, which is the required minimuJn as stipulated by ITS umbrella organisation Ascension Trust. Before a patrol is going out the Police is asked by email for a CAD number and is told where a Team will be going that nighc. Patrolling usually starts at around I I.'OO pm on a Friday nighi and finishes around 1-00 am Saturday morning. Teams nonnally go to those areas in the Borough where social unrest is not unusual, but when we encounter (serious) disturbances we infonn ihe Police and try io stay oui of trouble. Luckily, these siiuations are rather uncommoii. We engage with local shopkeepers and meJnbers of Ihe public and as li is quite common being asked about the meaning of the highly visible 'Street Pastor, logo on our uniforn]s we explain what Street Pastoring is about. for which we, almost withoui exception, receive a very positive response. When we meei homeless people, we inform the Streetlink Organisation aboui Iheir location and hand out information on Services provided by the Borough for homeless people as well as Soup kitchens and Foodbanks acuve in the Toiienham area. MANAGEMENT cOMMI￿EE MEETINGS During ihe reporung period we had apart from an AGM, 2 hlanagement Conimittee Meetings. Regular contact beEween members have been maiiitained by email and text messages. Chairman's Report During this reporting period Haringey Street Pastors realised 23 pairols each with an adequace number of participaung Street Pastors. For each patrol, there have to be at least 3 Street Pastors present. Interactions between members of the public and Haringey Sireei Pastors have been excellent and our nightly presence oll the 5treet5 of the Borough is definitely appreciaied. Throughout the reporting year, contacts with the Metropolitan Police have been maintained by email 10 obiain a CAD number before going out on patrol. After having finished patrols, the Police is informed io close the CAD number. Homeless people are referred to Streetlink and we provide information on services provided by the Borough for homele55 people and on Soup kitchens and Foodbanks active in the Tottenham area. Recruiting candidate Street Pastors to reinforce our limited numbers has been as in previous years difficuli. People simply are mosdy reluctant to sacrifice a couple of (nighdy) hours during weekends, bui recruiiing candidates remains neverthele55 urgent as most of our currently active Street Pastors are over 70 years of age, while some of them have been active for almost 20 years The absence of a (parc-iime) coordknalor put5 an extra burden on the T￿stee$, secretary funcuoning as substitute, exacerbaied by increased doJnestic responsibilities. The rather large amount of £800.00 we have to pay Ascension Trust as yearly contribution is certainly puiung a heavy burden on our limited financial resources and puts our long terni viabiliiy in doubt. It has proven to be rather hard to get financial support of local Churches; private donauons are Haringey Streei Pastors, main source of income.
