Annual Report for the year ending 31 August 2022
The Friends of Rosendale PTA group has gained momentum during this academic year, following the disruption to schooling and fundraising events caused by Covid lockdowns. In addition, the wider community is becoming more engaged with the school, leading to more fundraising events alongside other school improvement projects, such as the Forest School area and the revamped Library.
In the year ending August 2022, the Friends of Rosendale achieved their highest fundraising amount in several years, raising £51,876 in total. A significant part of this (£20,000) came from grants that were specifically allocated to improving the green space on the school site.
The number of regular fundraising events continued to increase, with the Summer and Christmas Fairs being key drivers of income, and much loved features on the school calendar. There are a small number of regular donors who support the school through monthly direct debits.
Expenditure during the year was £34,671. The Friends of Rosendale have agreed to focus the spend on a few priority intervention areas, agreed with the School leadership team. These are: Teach Sport activities, greening the school, excellence interventions and catch up programmes around speech and language for children who need extra support. These will remain the priority areas for subsequent academic years.
