**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF MILBORNE PORT AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IN PARTICULAR BY: • THE PROVISION OF A MUSEUM COMPRISING EXHIBITS, OBJECTS AND DOCUMENTS WHICH RELATE TO THE SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL HISTORY OF MILBORNE PORT AND THE SURROUNDING AREA; • RECORDING EVENTS AND MEMORIES TO ACT AS HISTORICAL RECORDS; • ARRANGING TALKS ON LOCAL HISTORY;  • PROVIDING GUIDED HISTORICAL WALKS;  • PRODUCING BOOKLETS ON HISTORICAL TOPICS; AND  • ARRANGING VISITS TO SITES OF HISTORICAL INTEREST.

**Activities:** To collect, preserve and maintain local and historical documents for the benefit of future generations in our local Chapel Museum which we open on a regular basis during the summer and on request so that the information can be accessed by the publicTo hold monthly meetings open to all on a variety of subjects pertaining either to local history or history in general
