## _**Achievements and Performance**_

Summary of main achievements: In these extraordinary days The Ark has been a shining light within its work of the foodbank but also in its role as a hub within Lapford and the wider community. As times become more financially challenging the food bank will be even busier. As well as this the other facilities of The Ark will be even more important to give support to those in and around the village. The compassionate fund is continuing to be administered by the management of The Ark and with the other areas of The Ark these are an important means of our Christian outreach.

Despite Covid the charity has been able to maintain a healthy financial position.

## _**Structure, Governance and Management**_

Description of charity trusts:

The Charity is made up of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Association Model) and is controlled by its trust deed.

Each of the charities were really grateful for these gifts which will enable their organisations to continue support through challenging times. We have also found that there has been more of a need locally and our compassionate fund was used frequently and appreciated.

We continue to pay £28 a month to Compassion UK to sponsor a young girl in Uganda. She enjoys receiving letters and cards and sends back regular news.

In March 2022 we received a Gift Aid refund of £2450.08 for the financial years 2020-21. We are at present submitting a gift aid claim for 2021 – 2022.

The annual accounts have been audited and will also be available on the Lapford Community Church website.
