The Holy Eucharist forrns the centre of our spiritual life a5 a parish and 15 celebrated trwice each week. The Wednesday mass is a
said servile and the Sunday ma5S 15 a sung servite with the Lelcester Universrty Charnber Choir 5in8ing ￿Veral sÈrvitÈs each year.

Epiphany Carol service, a mass on Ash Wednesday, a mass on Ascension Day, a choral evensong for All Saints day, an(J a iarol
Servi￿ on Advent Sunday with all these services being sung by the De Montfort Chamber Choir. The DMU choir a150 sang 3r two
other evensongs, Cantores Vagante5 san¥ at the Feast of the Assumption and a joint choir sang at a 9 Le550n5 and Carols 5Èrvice on
the evening of the first Sunday of Christmas when the John Bence Muslc Foundation was launched In 8ddrtion, we had a stsid
Reouiem Mass on All Souls Day, an Animals SeMce In October and a Bab￿0s$ service in November. In addition, two other groups
held services being the Larvian Lutheran's whc held a Service on the second Sunday of each month from February to June., and the
Guild of rhe Servants of the Sanctuary held twjo meetings and had è service afterwards. (St Mary de Castro being one of their
regularvenues.I

The PCC 5UPPOrts the work of our group cf Clere¥ whoare responsible for Pastoral Care in the Parish..
All who desire our pastoral sÈMces receive a ministry of care and welcorne.
Baptism and confirmation of children and aduks involves faJll preparation, 3 warffl welcorne and ongoing care as evidÈnted
by the baptisrn taken by Fr Russell in November.
There was one marriage in church in October.
Holycomtnunion Is taken to anyone sick at home, in hosprtèl or in rest homes who deyres it.
The clergy are notified and parishioners are visited wherTr in h05Pital or boreaved.
ThÈ13st rites are administered when appropriate.
The bereaved are visited prior to everyfuneral and their loved remembered as demonstrated bythe funera15 of Millie
Currle in March and John BÈnce in April.

The PCC promotes the full ran8e of its attivities through a website. social media, church noticeboards and the church sometimes

The restricted reserves at the year*nd were £32.241, made up of a £10,380 fixÈd asset in the Organ Fund, E6.￿1 fixed asset5 in
the Securty Fund. £1,075 cash In the Bells Fund, £6,275 cash in the John Bence Memorial Fund, £5,360 cash in the Bell Tower Fund

Govemance rlsks the* arise in particular in relation to the ski115 and competence of members ol the PCC. Members of the Council
are elected because of their commitment to the mission of St Mary de Castro and because of the diverse range of ability and
expenise they bring to the rnanagement of the parish. There is è risk thaL in future, it will not alwtys bÈ possible to recruit
sufficient people to the charity with the skills required but Ca￿fUl attention is paid at all times to the needs of good succession
planning a5 descri bed above.
Operatlonal rlsks- the risks here are, in particular, In relation to the protection of children and vulnerable adults. and health and
33lety. The PCC ha5 a Child and Vulnerable Adults Protection Officer and reviews and approves an appropriate policy annually. The
Church Wardens and rnembers of the PCC arÈ currently in the prote55 of completin8 the r*quired Sèfeguarding training. In addition,
there Is re8ular contact with the specialists in thi5 tield employed by the Leicester Diocese including attend3nce 3t trBininE courses
operated by the dioc e5e. An independent Children's Advocate has been appointed bythe PCC.
A Health and Safety pollcy has been approved and adopted by the PCC In addition. both 3 policy and trainin8 manual for people
whovolunteer as part of Open Door are being prepared. A Fire1115k Assessment has been done

comrnitted to reviewing Iniorne and Expenditurè to ensure that the Parish remains solvent.

nd data protection. The General Data Protection Regulations corne in force on 25 May 2018. The PCC agreed a GDPR policy at its
